Recording loading / discharging speed by using stop watch and assess quantity that can be loaded / discharged within port working hours.

Grounding/Pollution
Attend and guide the Master during grounding / loss of anchor, drifting and grounding etc.

Condition & Suitability Survey
Conduct Condition Survey prior to commencement of loading and/or on completion of loading on board and inspect and record defects/damages to vessel’s hull, fittings, holds, coaming, hatch closing appliances, mooring winches, weather deck/forecastle deck and engine room bilges, duct etc. and also record bunker sounding to assess bunker on board on delivery/re-delivery. For suitability survey, specific attention is given for hazardous cargo.

Jetty/Port Infrastructure Damage Survey
After an accident, attend to survey of damage to port infrastructure and negotiate and finalize damages / claims.
